The Spinal Injuries Association (SIA) is a leading national charity, headquartered in Milton Keynes, dedicated to supporting people as they rebuild their lives after sustaining life-changing spinal cord injuries. Through its services, the organisation provides vital guidance, advocacy, and practical help, empowering individuals and their families to navigate the challenges of recovery and independence.

Before joining SIA, the charity’s Chief Executive, Nik Hartley, gained extensive experience in senior roles across international humanitarian organisations, working in diverse and often challenging environments around the world. Now a member of MKBLP, Nik will share reflections on his global career, his journey to Milton Keynes, and the unique challenges of leading a national charity within today’s uncertain economic climate.
