Congratulations to the team at PJ Care following their recent apprenticeship award successes.

Most notably, the specialist neurological care provider was recognised as the BAME Apprentice Employer of the Year within the Health, Medical and Social Care Employer category at the recent BAME Apprenticeship Awards.

The awards showcase the outstanding work and achievement of apprentices from black and minority ethnic groups (BAME) and inspire BAME apprentices to reach their full potential.

In addition, PJ Care team member, Aderonke Salawu, was 'highly commended' in the 'Carer' category.

PJ Care had further success within the National Apprenticeship Awards. Business administrator, Becky Arnott, won the 'Advanced Level Apprentice of the Year' award for the East of England. A further  two ‘Highly Commended’ acknowledgements were awarded in the ‘Rising Star of the Year’ and the ‘Intermediate Apprentice of the Year’ categories. The latter commendation went to James Russell, the grandson of PJ Care founder and MKBLP Board Director Jan Flawn.

Jan commented: “We are so very proud of our training team and all our staff.”

This award news follows the recent success of Board Director, Lucy Gallois who won the Women Leaders’ award within the ‘Digital & Technology’ category, and MKBLP member, Stuart Goldwater, and his team at PragmatiQ Solutions, who were shortlisted in the prestigious ‘Cloud Services Provider of the Year’ category, at the CRN Channel Awards 2020. MKBLP Chair, Nicholas Mann’s own company, Interdirect, has also been shortlisted for the Digital Signage Awards for our touch screens at Luton Airport.

This year has certainly been challenging, but we are delighted to see that it hasn’t dampened the winning spirit which underpins the Milton Keynes business community. We would like to congratulate everyone who has been shortlisted or won an award this year, and look forward to hearing more of your successes.
