We are delighted to hear that Milton Keynes featured just behind London in The Sunday Times Best Places for Business 2020. As part of the national paper’s guide to the top 20 cities for growth, Milton Keynes was recognised for its high level of productivity, which are more than a quarter above the national average outside of the Capital. Citing our great city’s rapidly growing reputation for technology and advanced manufacturing, many of our members were acknowledged within the article, including MKBLP Chairman, Nick Mann.

“This report underpins what we already know about Milton Keynes, we work in a thriving, productive city which is renowned on both a national and international platform. It is testament to the collaboration and entrepreneurial spirit across both public and private partnerships in the region.

Our ideal position in the centre of the Oxford to Cambridge Arc, our close proximity to London, which will benefit from the improved transport links announced last week, along with the planned development of MK:U will enrich our offering on a global level. There is little doubt that the city is thriving, but we must not become complacent and continue to work together, across all business communities to realise the city’s full potential – an objective which underpins the very existence of MKBLP.” Nick Mann, Chair of MKBLP.
