Four MKBLP Board Directors are today participating in The Parks Trust 25-mile walk for the YMCA Milton Keynes. The sponsored challenge, which will see participants walk through the beautiful Redways, parklands and fields of Milton Keynes, has been organised by Howes Percival, Xero, MK College, Interdirect and PJ Care.

Simon DeMaid, Howes Percival, Jan Flawn, PJ Care, Freddie Guilmard, The Red Thread and Nicholas Mann, MKBLP Chair and MD of Interdirect, are leading a 50 strong pack of walkers along the route today.

Currently facing a crisis in youth homelessness, Milton Keynes has been labelled the Youth Homeless Capital of the UK and the YMCA plays a critical role in supporting these young, vulnerable people. Simon Green, CEO of the YMCA, Milton Keynes and MKBLP member comments: “We are extremely grateful to everyone taking on this challenge today, raising these funds will be a massive help to the YMCA. Being a part of MKBLP has not only enabled us to tap into these potential fundraising opportunities but also allowed us to create employment links to support residents within our community.”
