MKBLP members call to action – do you know any inspiring women leaders?
A staunch supporter of Women Leaders, MKBLP is encouraging members to think about the inspiring and amazing women within their businesses and take a moment to nominate them for the 2019 Women Leaders MK Awards.
Now in its fifth year, Women Leaders is a platform to recognise the talents and experience of women living or working in Milton Keynes. Past finalists include scientists and campaigners, entrepreneurs and teachers, and all have contributed to the growth of their industry sector, their employer or business, and the ongoing success of Milton Keynes.
This year MKBLP is sponsoring the speaker at the Women Leaders awards ceremony, which will be held at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel at Stadium MK on 11 October, and we are delighted that the keynote speaker will be Cindy Rose OBE, CEO of Microsoft UK.
Nominations close on Monday 1st July so please look at the 14 categories, which this year includes new entries for Digital & Technology, Manufacturing & Construction, Sports and HealthCare.
New chair, and MKBLP Board Member, Dr Julie Mills, Group Principal and CEO of MK College, comments: “There are many fantastic women leaders in Milton Keynes, and we want to recognise their talents and achievements. Women Leaders UK encourages women of all ages to develop their careers and achieve their full potential.”
